6 Things You Should Know About Being a KatyCat
1. IF YOU DON’T LIKE KITTENS, OR COTTON CANDY, THEN GET OUT.
Don’t like these two things? Then you can leave this Katy Perry fandom right now because when you’re a KatyCat that is what your surroundings are made up of. Cotton candy, it’s you’re favorite food. Kittens are your favorite animal. After all, we are called KatyCats for a reason. J
2. KNOW ALL THE WORDS TO EVERY SINGLE KATY PERRY SONG THAT THERE IS.
Whether it’s Firework, Hummingbird Heartbeat, Wide Awake, Lost, and even more. A die-hard KatyCat know all the words to every single song on every single album. You must be able to do this so that you may sing and enjoy Katy’s music at any given time you wish. Also, it is important to do this so that whenever there is a Katy song on the radio, you can sing along without second guessing a single word.
3. KNOW ALL KATY PERRY INFORMATION BEFORE ANYONE ELSE.
If one of your non-KatyCat friends comes up to you and says, “Hey, did you hear that Katy Perry ______.” You should be able to say, “I’ve known about that for two weeks now.” No matter what you have to do, look it up in books, magazines, read online articles, watch the news, etc. find out the latest news about Katy Perry.
4. DEFEND KATY PERRY AND YOUR TITLE OF KATYCAT.
In order to defend Katy, you must know her struggle to fame and how she was not an overnight success. For some reason, that is what non-KatyCats seem to hold against her most of the time. Now, to defend your KatyCat title, do every little thing you can to prove you are the ultimate KatyCat. I’ve beaten many people in a “Who is a more dedicated KatyCat” debate.
5. ALWAYS RESPECT KATY’S DECISIONS.
Sure, Katy might always change her hair a lot, and wear some crazy outfits, but you have to learn to always respect those choices because it’s just Katy’s personality. It also doesn’t matter what she says or what she does, because a true KatyCat loves and supports her no matter what happens.
6. IT IS A PROMISE.
Being a KatyCat isn’t just simply loving Katy Perry’s music, it is a promise that you make and you a dedicated to that promise. Promising is remembering that the whole KatyCat nation is a family, believing that nothing could ever come in the way of your title as KatyCat, and knowing that Katy loves every single KatyCat there is, because it got her to where she is today. It’s important to keep that promise so that all of us can roll down the car window, turn up the volume, and sing along to Teenage Dream.
